Hi @Waters2688 - unfortunately this can happen especially if it gets wet and moisture gets in.

The seals aren't so robust and can detiorate over time depending on how the watch has been used.

You may still be able to find another Sense or replace with a later model which won't have all the features of the Sense or the same operating mode. They don't support any apps you currently use and not all clock faces are available.

If you live in the EEA you won't be able to install any non Fitbit stuff from the Gallery without using a VPN.

At this point it is still a good idea to make a note of the names of any clocks or apps and any special watch or app settings you use before  replacement.

If by chance it is under warranty still contact support for a free replacement.

Thanks Guy, super helpful and makes sense.  It's probably 18 months old and I wear it everyday and train with it on as well.  I live in South Florida so I'm pretty much sweating most of the time.   My previous fitbit's lasted longer than this but I used to live in a much cooler climate lol!

Dear Team, I have rally enjoyed using my Fitbit devices since 2014 more than a decade, but lately i have observed issues around Versa not starting after shutdown dur to loss of battery. No matter how much we charge, it starts getting hot afrer 3-4 hours but even after long press it does not start. This is 3rd succh incident in my family.

If such issues are not rectified i am sorry but reluctantly i will have to stop buying Fitbit products.

Request your support in resolving at the earliest pls.

My Fitbit is shocking and burning my arm. It is not allergies or sensitivity. The thing is actually burning me intermittently.

My versa 2 is about 2 years old. I charged it as usual. Went out. Came back. Very odd smell. Realised my versa 2 and charger extremely hot. Stuck together. When cooled. I noticed the back of my versa 2 has melted and the pins on the charger are burnt with melted plastic around it. The screen is burnt too. This is extremely dangerous! I dread to think what would have happened if  I had not come back in time. This is a serious fire hazard.  I have the photos.  I urgently need a replacement and would ask that a safety investigation is carried out immediately.

please reply asap

Maria

Hi @Lindarose211 - firstly never wear a watch that has a fault, especially if there is a risk of burning.

If the watch is in any way behaving strangely sort out the issue before depending on it.

Some watches with battery faults, often provoked by getting wet when seals have failed, will also get very hot when charging and if so never charge or wear such a device.

You should contact support to report the issue and get a replacement if under warranty. They may even offer a 35% discount on a new one.

Thanks for your concern. I've tried contacting support but I get into a running loop which takes me through a bunch of crap. I can’t chat nor call and I’m still waiting for the call back. I’m dumping Fitbit. I don’t do Google.

The back of my sense 2 is leaving burn like marks and irritation on my wrist. I've had a versa and never had a problem. Is there an issue with the sense?

Hi @FWalsh6     Your irritated skin looks like the shape of the Sense 2 electrodes for the ECG and EDA scan.  Do you have a metal sensitivity?  The Versa series doesn’t have this hardware.

Fitbit’s stainless steel has a small amount of nickel.

I’ve recently changed from a Charge 5 to 6. I’ve been wearing it about 3wks & my skin is starting to react to the base. I’m wearing my strap at one hole loser than my previous due to it being less malleable than the 5 so it’s not too tight. But I’ve noticed that the underside area has no rubber are like the 5 & wonder if it’s because of that.

Any tips to prevent this & from getting worse?

Thanks

My Sense 2 has just turned 2 years old, but I woke up to find a big burn mark on my wrist - I've stopped wearing the watch, but the burn mark has not gone away, and is still very red and angry despite it being weeks since I got the burn

Does anyone know where I can log a complaint?
