Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

we recently bought 2 versas...one for my husband one for me. Bought them 6 days ago. I set them up both the same way with no problems. On day 2 of having them we both received a notification on our phones that our fitbit app had updated. Ever since then my versa has not been receiving text message notifications. My husbands is working fine. I receive all other notifications (messenger, email, calendar, life360, facebook, instagram, etc. I have called customer support and done a live chat with no resoulution. I have looked on the forum and have not found an answer. I even factoy reset the versa and deleted the app restarted my phone and started all over again. That didnt work. I have went through all the troubleshooting that the support has had me do. Has anyone had this problem? It was working until I got that message that the app updated. I didnt change anything on my versa or my phone. It was working then it quit. My husbands is working and he has the same phone and same style versa. Below is the phone i have...

Samsung Galaxy S9+

Ok everyone. Go to your playstation store or app store. The version I had that was not working was 3.0. The one my hubby had was 2.95 which worked. I went to see what.version was in my store and it.was 2.95 again! I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, logged back in, and set up my notifications again. So far it is working. Fingers crossed it continues. Hope this helps!

It does look like they went back. It says in the app info it was last updated 6.13.19. So the last few updates are gone. Hope it works

I uninstalled Fitibit and downloaded again, then the version went back to 2.95 again hopefully it'll start receiving the text notification again.

I don’t have the option on my iPhone to choose an earlier version. Just download the 3.0 ?

You need to uninstall the app once. If it's not working then things might be different in Apple Store.

I have S9 and Versa. I had to uninstall fitbit app 3.0, turn off bluetooth,  restart phone, restart versa, reinstall fitbit app that is 2.95, go thru steps to sync phone and fitbit and my fitbit finally is notifying me about text messages. I think it's the 3.0 update. My husband has same phone and versa and never had issues but always had 2.95 version. Who knows what issue is, but after doing the above mine finally works again

Thanks so much for the info. I have followed all those steps....however to no avail. I’m thinking the issue is this problem with Fitbit coach totally STUCK in download mode (which there is no solution according to customer service) that is blocking everything else on my watch. The versa came with this app....I would not use it..do not want it it unable to delete or stop the download. Not my idea of a product worth so much money and frustration.

I’ve tried all the steps that everyone has mentioned and still no success. Guess I’ll just have to wait! Or buy an overpriced Apple Watch! But maybe there is a reason it’s more money 🤔🤔🤔

I’m not receiving text messages from my phone to my Versa. I rarely use the Coach app so I’m not sure how that is working.

I use to have an UP band. That company went bankrupt. Perhaps Fitbit will go the same way if they don’t get there act together. Customer service is no longer even answering my support questions.

I truly want no part of the Coach app but it just keeps trying to download . There is no way to stop the download so it just eats up the battery. It came loaded on the watch. It can’t be deleted or turned off....I constantly get a notice on my app saying unable to update some apps....if I could get the app downloaded at least my battery would not die every 12 hours.
