Luxe screen going black

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My luxe has recently started going to a black screen even when there is still plenty of battery left the only way I can get it to come back on and start working again it's too attach it to the charger then the logo comes up and it's fine again. Everything else is functioning properly. Has anyone else had this problem ? Can this one be saved ?  Do I just get a new one ?

@NanaBiker Did you file a warranty claim since your Fitbit is still under warranty?

@AprSue Apparently it was just luck that I had no black screen for the last several days. I just got the black screen again today. Darn- I thought maybe they had really fixed it 😢

Hi!
Thanks for sharing this info with me. What they told you about the update
is ridiculous. I don’t think they even make this model anymore. I seemed
to have been able to update recently and mine was purchased about 2 1/2
years ago as well.
It’s working decently but needs to be rebooted everyday when the screen
goes black. Takes forever to charge and needs to be done daily.
I now carry my charger with me just to reboot!
Take care!

Yup- it curs out when least expected! It’s been 24 hours with no black
screen! However I now carry my charger in my purse in case I need a jump
start🙂

Thank you!   That’s a great idea.  I shall do that too instead of just hoping that even if the screen is black, it is still recording my steps, which it does sometimes 🤔

My Luxe was working fine until I updated its software last week. The charge used to last about a week; now it only lasts about two days

On Wednesday around noon it showed 40%, then about an hour or so later it died.

Last night before going to bed, it showed 54%. When I woke up this morning, it was dead. Looking at my email, I had received an email at 1:30am saying it was low.

I have had the same problem.  My luxe goes black even when it has plenty of battery charge left. It won't respond.  The only way to wake it up is to plug it into the charger which of course I don't have when out for a long walk or not at home. Once I finally am able to charge it, it takes awhile to sync then doesn't count any of my activity. It has been very unreliable which is very disappointing.

Yes! Exactly what I have been experiencing! Maybe that’s why they don’t
sell them any more.

They should continue to support the luxe and sell them. We would have to get new accessories also.  I have a few different bands so I can switch them up.

Whatever you do, don’t follow one of Fitbit’s recommendations of unpairing it from your phone and pairing again. I unpaired it, and it needs a 4 digit code that is on the screen to complete the pairing. The Fitbit app thinks the code has been given, but the screen isn’t lit up so I can’t see it. This seems like an impossible fix and that I’ll have to get a new tracker. Super frustrating.

I thought this was just happening to my watch! Something that has seemed to work for me so far is going into the settings on the watch and turning the vibration setting down from strong. I haven’t had a black screen since I did that a few days ago, but I’m still dealing with the rapid battery drain.

Mine used to as well, but not anymore. In fact, last week it was fully
charged and went black after 3 hours! I was at work so no access to its
charger. All those steps not recorded, no heart rate captures either.

My trusty Charge 2 still works as expected except it doesn't show the time
when I raise up my arm to check it. It was my first fit bit and I kept it
as a backup. Glad I did but it doesn't have all the features the Luxe has.
Now I'm back to using the Charge 2.
The Luxe can't be trusted. Too bad; they had a good product 'til they
didn't.

No longer under warranty. It was a gift too.

Well, that's not helpful from their end. Will you take them up on their 35%
discount?

When my screen goes black, it no longer tracks anything so it doesn't show
up on the app either.

I agree. It seems tech objects are built to fall apart.

Well, I finally had it.  3 blacks screens in half a day today. I took them up on the 35% offer. Fitbit Inspire 3. I will see how it goes. (At least I will remember the date I bought it!) 🙂

@Dalmatia hope the inspire 3 works well for you! At least it won’t have the black non-responsive screen, and the Inspire 3 is so much better than the inspire 2!
