OMG thank you so much.  That was the answer I was looking for.  I don't understand why when there is a reply to the question the mediator doesn't just answer the question with how to stop it, instead of saying thanks for the feedback and telling you how to restart it.

I don't have time right now to redirect to my step by step instructions
earlier in this thread but they should help you. If not message me again
and I'll help you out. Merry Christmas!

I am having the same issue. There is no finish button available to me- just keeps running

While the exercise is running press the button on the left side of the
Fitbit. Press it once and it will say Pause. Press it twice and it will
say Finish on top and Return below. Touch Finish and the exercise will end
and it will show you the stats of that exercise.

I have trouble turning off the treadmill tracking on my charge 3.  It pauses but when I go to stop it I get the notification screen.  Very frustrating!

So, you push the button on the left and it pauses - right?
Then you push the button on the left again and you get this notification
screen? Is that right?
What does the notification screen say?

Screen wake/ notification . If I play with it for a while I get it to the
finish screen but it is throwing all my time off . Very frustrating.

I recently got a charge 3 and totally agree this is a very frustrating feature-despite following the instructions.   On Charge 2 I was able to read the screen without glasses.   I cannot do that on Charge 3.  Please help Fitbit.

I HATE this Fitbit Charge 3. I had a charge 2 that was so much easier to use. I was given the charge 3 as a Christmas gift because I swim. Like others have said, I can't turn it off after exercise. Pressing the button takes me to the screen wake/notifications page. Total waste of money. I am so unhappy.

Thank you. Your suggestion worked. Needs to have a user manual.

I’m also having problems finishing my walk or hike.

I press the button but nothing happens. I hold it down for a few seconds and nothing happens. I previously had a very basic model which was so simple to use. You just pressed it and it finished straight away. Very annoying!

Hi, my son showed me how to do it.

Try pushing in side button that's when the play arrow appears onscreen and
says paused...it then tells you to press button to finish. I was pressing
the play arrow on screen as this is what it looked like it was suggesting,
but all you have to do is push in the side button again then the option to
finish shows up.

My son looked at me like I was from a different planet when I showed him
what I was doing...😁.

Let me know if this helped.

Hi

Thanks for your reply. Yep managed to work it out eventually! I took off the device and pressed the side. It’s not clear though is it?

Thanks again 😊

Hi you need to press the side button twice very quickly with no pause in
between and then the finish flags should appear on screen.

Hope this helps

One other person I remember had been pushing the wrong side of the unit so
you might try pushing the other side.

If it just isn't ever doing anything at all when you push it, I would say
you have a defective unit and I would exchange it.

I''ve come to really like mine now that I have the hang of using it. Like
so many, I wasn't so happy at first because I couldn't figure it out and
FitBit Customer Service seems to be pretty much non-existent. Once you get
it down you'll be happier with it.

Hi

Thanks for your reply. Yes I managed to figure it out.

I like the device too, it was just that instructions - to push the button, are not clear at all.
