Recieved my versa 2.5 mths ago and after chargingbit last night the touch screen no longer responds.ni have restarted it multiple times by holding down the side and bottom bittbu until the fit bit symbol comes on but cannot reset from the Settings option on the phone because that requires the use of a touch screen

Thanks, just got off with customer care, they are sending replacement... I don't think i had issues until i installed latest firmware 70.7.21

This process takes several seconds, 5-10-20-40-60????
My versa (after releasing the bottom right button) starts showing & dissapearing the fitbit logo, but no uitbating.....
Yes when i release after 1 minute 1 short vibration

I have a Versa and the touch screen does not work. I tried holding the buttons down as suggested, but it still doesn't work. I even tried deleting my Fitbit Versa from my app and setting it up again. The touch screen still does not work.

Is it software fault? Or hardware?
The software issue is overloading cpu crashing the watch with latest firmware. Disabling wallet, always sync, and background processes on Spotify and other apps will stop the freezing.
Problem is this is a Legit issue even if it fixes it and you should request a replacement asap. Under Warranty

Nobody within fitbit told me about this problem, they saw i have the latest firmware.

Mine was a hardware problem. It got water inside it and caused damage to the components. If yours still works and you are reading this, please do not put it in water. Fitbit sent me an email saying I could swim with it on, which I did. Eventually after getting it wet too many times it died.

I have produced this and resolved this on Versa 2.
One or a combination of the following configurations causes this for sure (warning your watch MAY FREEZE if you do the steps bellow)
Set pride watch face
Set left button for Fitbit pay
Set pin combination to (recommended) require pin once every 24 hours
Set always connected is on
Set all day sync to on
Enable background running for spotify and use an active account.
Install fitbit News and allow running in background
Install leadership board allow running in background
Configure alexa to an active account
Set watch to display on motion
Disable always on display

Update, Fitbit has sent me a replacement with a Versa 2 SE. it is problem free so far!

My versa was brand new two months ago, touch screen kept stopping and now does not work at all, have tried switching off and back on and factory reset but to no avail, can anyone help.

Totally agreed. They did a simple reset and it did not work. Recommended me to a list of vendors to purchase another fitbit.
If Fitbit Versa which is more expensive than Fitbit Charge 2 and can't even last longer than my fitbit charge 2 which is 3 years old, why bother to buy fitbit again

I agree. I have been a big fitbit fan but these last 2 devices (Blaze and Versa) have only lasted a little over a year ago it really is just as expensive as any other Smartwatch given you have to purchase them once a year. Well good luck with your new purchase. 😞
