The same thing has been happening to me all day. I’ve updated the app and restarted my phone. Nothing has worked. It’s highly annoying.

This! I've restarted my phone 3 times and my fitbit. I've tried scanning and searching. It will add one item but not the calories, if I add another it deletes the previous food item. If I leave the food input area to look at water, ALL the food entries disappear. It let me add my coffee and nothing else since. It was working up until approximately 10am. Highly frustrating that we keep having these issues. I'm using an android.

Log food feature is not working as expected, does this happen with the (+) plus sign in the dashboard or when you are in the food site in the app?

  • I’ve tried all the options and the issue is across the board - food and calories show up and then disappear

Does this happen with every meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, etc) or only for specific?

  • Tried them all and it happens with all entries

Does this affect custom food or also the ones listed in the data base?

  • All foods - custom and database
  • product scanning has also been freezing the app and you can’t click back so have to close and reopen - this happens frequently

Are you using an Android device or an iOS (iPhone /iPad?

  • iPhone 15

Same! But I have a Samsung phone. I even fully uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it still doesn't save logged food properly. Its definitely a bug in the app IMO.

Hi. I am also having the same problem today and have also tried all the above fixes with no success. This is obviously a Fitbit software probem.

Come on Fitbit, get this fixed for us as this is very frustrating!

Hi Juan,

I’m having this issue too. Responding to your questions:

Log food feature is not working as expected, does this happen with the (+) plus sign in the dashboard or when you are in the food site in the app? Both
Does this happen with every meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, etc) or only for specific? I tried it for lunch and dinner same thing happened in both.
Does this affect custom food or also the ones listed in the data base? I don’t use both, only data base.
Are you using an Android device or an iOS (iPhone /iPad? iPhone in my case

I have not been able to save any consumed food data on the Fitbit app today. I noticed it when I entered the app today at about 10AM EST. I can enter a food in today's food history and that food will display in today's food category. If i then enter another food item, the second food item is displayed but, the first food I'd entered earlier disappears. When I exit the Fitbit app then reenter, any food that I entered today and was displayed in the food history is gone.

Using iOS. Updated phone to iOS 26.0 yesterday. I enter food using + sign in Food panel. Only the most recent entry is saved. Tried restarting phone and app with no joy.

It's happening to me too. It'll scan the food item in and then disappear as soon as I submit it. So my whole day it looks like I've had 200 calories and not the 1200 to 1400 I've actually had.

I am using an Android device. This morning my breakfast items were entered
with no issues. However, at lunch time around 130pm when I tried to enter
my lunch, the food app would only keep the last entry. Now even my
breakfast items have disappeared. I use the + and the established list and
the item is replaced no matter how I try to enter it. I have a charge 5.

It happened for me when I used the + and when my suggested list popped up. Sometimes several items  showed up and other times one item displayed then  opening up the ap it was zeroed out.

I recently began tracking my food after months and it was going really well for me. I also have been using Fitbit for many years. I don’t want an Apple Watch or other device. Most features work well for me. I like seeing calories in and out next to each other even though I take them with a grain of salt!

I'm experiencing the same issue as others. Breakfast worked, nothing since lunch, no matter what avenue I use to input it (widget, home page, or food menu). Running Android 16 on a Pixel 9 with a first gen Pixel watch.

OK now the new issue is my step count keeps changing every time I look at it. It'll be 9000 then over 10,000 they go down to 7000. Also my food log is completely messed up and it won't take any new food. logging it that shows up then disappears immediately When will these bugs get fixed! It seems like there's one thing after another.

This occurs when scanning a food with barcode, when using the (+) on the dashboard, when manually searching in the database, or when selecting from either recent or frequent foods. I have not tried custom.

This has happened with every meal after morning snack, around 10:30 AM EST. I have tried lunch, afternoon snack, dinner, and evening snack.
