Fitbit app - Food Fitbit App Deleting Food Logs Immediately

ANSWERED

I was trying to log my food today and it will not show any food when I put an item in. It will also not show anything in the database when I scan and I know those items are in there. Please help. I have a sense 2 and an apple

Doesn’t seem to matter how you log it. Using the + sign, in the food intake window, using a barcode, breakfast, dinner, etc. Every option yields the same results. Adds it then deletes it  few seconds later.

Same problem. Android. Using + sign. Lunch and Dinner. I select and ok a food and it erases the previous entry.

Food site. Yes yes yes iOS.

Same! I even fully disconnected my Fitbit and app and reconnected from scratch. Pixel 8 Pro. No luck. It's being really glitchy.

The same. I have a Google pixel. It's updated. The app is updated. I've turned it off and on I go to log food. It logs one item. It unlogs the item I logged to log the new item. Doesn't matter if it is a breakfast, lunch or dinner item. I honestly am not sure.

This is the second time in so many days that they have had problems with logging of food. And that is one of the main features that I love about this app.

Same issue.

I have used Fitbit since 2017 and tbh I have never experienced this kind of glitch/issue. Idk what's going on.

Still not working. I tried entering it 4x’s now. I have also notice that the FLOORS count hasn’t been working for awhile either.

Mine is dropping everything I have logged since after breakfast today as well.i had tried using every method (plus button from "Today", enter food and use barcode, use search, use recent, frequent, custom) and all disappear. I have cleared the app cache  and I have force closed the app  and rebooted my phone.

Android. Happens with all methods of logging food. From the plus sign on the main dashboard and from the food part of the app. Searching and adding as well as selecting and adding a previously saved custom meal or food item. The food adds and appears to save, but when exiting the calories in screen and returning, the entry is no longer there. I have a custom entry of a meal with several items that enter with one save. When I saved, exited to the dashboard and went back to calories in within seconds only one item remained. When I exited and returned again, that item was also gone.

Also using either + sign on main screen or clicking into the food tab to log the result is the same.

There's another post about the same issue and FitBit left a comment with an update:

It does not work for me either. I add food, and it is there for seconds and then just disappears.

I managed to get two breakfast food items entered. Now as I continue to log food, it just replaces the last food logged. I tried Breakfast and Anytime. I did this from within the food section of the app. Ive been trying all day. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still did not work.

I'm having exactly the same problem, it started this morning (12/4/2025 at 8am PST) and continues to this time (12/4/2025 at 5:40pm PST). I enter my food data on the iPhone app and use the "+" button, then add from my Custom or Recent list and sometimes using the Search bar. No matter which way I enter the food, it will disappear after I enter other food items. It's almost like there is a limit on the number of entries, but even that seems random. Quite frustrating, please fix asap. Fortunately I use another app (MyFitnessPal) to log the same food data so can re-enter it into the Fitbit app later, but that is very inconvenient.

This happens:

1. Logging food while using the food site in the app AND + in the dashboard

2. All meal and snacks

3. all- custom, in data base, recent, and frequent

4. iOS phone

I'm having the same issue! Super annoying!!! I've done everything everyone else had tried. I even restarted my phone just in case lol... but I still cannot log meals.

It’s definitely a Fitbit server side issue with this many people having the same problem with with different devices.

It occurs using either method to log food. Occurs with any meal selection. Affects both database food AND custom food entries, AND quick calories. I'm using Android/Pixel 8.
