Fitbit app - Food Fitbit App Deleting Food Logs Immediately

ANSWERED

I was trying to log my food today and it will not show any food when I put an item in. It will also not show anything in the database when I scan and I know those items are in there. Please help. I have a sense 2 and an apple

Food entry records, and seconds later disappears. Does this no matter what food I log or how many items. Did a force stop and restarted phone but the issue continues.

None of my entries are getting logged. It seems to take a few from this morning but if I leave the tile and go to the main page with all my info it's gone. If I try to relog it is gone again.  I'm using android

I am using it now.  17:42 PST.  It has saved everything I logged at breakfast using the Food option.  Everything I have logged since has disappeared after several attempts.  I have noticed that on two occasions, one dinner item remained after all the other items disappeared.  However that remaining item disappeared after I tried to re-enter the items that had disappeared.  All this was done using the food option, not the + option on the dashboard.

When I enter food from Recents or Frequent, the food appears, but an entry I made previously disappears. For instance, I want to add my dinner, so I go to Recents and choose Yams for dinner. It appears on my dinner, but as it does, cottage cheese gets dropped from my breakfast. It’s as though there’s a limit to the amount of food entries you can make and if you make an additional one, something has to drop off to accommodate it. It’s really weird and not something I’ve ever encountered. In addition, if I try to search the database and pick from the list of foods it provides, it never comes through.

Adding... If I put the phone in airplane mode and enter food items, they do not disappear, even when exiting the app and restarting. However, the food tile still shows 0 calories in for today. As soon as I take it out of airplane mode and the app syncs to the server all items entered and saved in the food tile disappear.

I agree. I’m getting so tired of all their issues. Fitbit used to work so well until Google took it over. If they don’t want to spend the time and money to keep this working properly, they should just sell it to a company that wants it to work and stop torturing us.

Food logging issue started this evening (could have been earlier today but I didn't check it): iOS - Using it on iPhone. Haven't used desktop version. Used plus sign - then selected Food. Also tried clicking on the food metric (the line on the dashboard that shows calories labeled Food), and clicking the + at the top. Happens with both. All food: custom - or not custom. Every meal.

Watch also glitched last night, where the face had icons overlapping then I couldn't see anything on the face. Had a hard time even shutting it down. Rebooted it and it started working again. I have a Sense 2.

Second time the food tracking has had massive issues recently. I am at a point where I'm considering an Apple Watch. Honestly this thing feels like junk, no offense.

I have been using fitbit to track calories since 2018 and never had this problem... used it yesterday and worked fine... today everything I add disappears... I'm hoping it's just a screw up that will pass quickly... dk

At this point, Fitbit being discontinued would probably be a blessing. It seldom works properly any more. This used to be such a good product with a great company that had pride and stood behind it. I’ll never forgive Google for ruining it.

IOS user, food won’t log from app using +,

Food will appear to log but seems to be only able to retain the most recent addition and that will only log for a short time.

Same issue at every meal/snack ie breakfast etc

No difference whether custom or database food - still won’t log

Every food I enter this evening is disappearing.   I've shut down and restarted my phone, with no success.

I’m unclear the difference between the two options in your first answer. The + sign on the food part of the app/dash board.

all meals for me and all food, custom or in database

Select eggs for breakfast and it is showing as usual. Add toast to breakfast and eggs disappear leaving toast. Exit the food entry to the main section of the app and no indication of nutritional information shown. Go back in and it is empty-no entries shown. Try again, and each new entry supersedes previous entry... Click on the entry and you get unknown error the goes back to empty entry space... Does not record

Having the exact same issues. 9pm and still not logging my food in. Just disappearing.

Responding to the request for now details: morning related to nutrition works. Quick calories isn't working, Adding recent items isn't working, adding new custom items, old items, nothing works. I don't understand why this app is always breaking. What are you all doing?!

Things that didn't resolve the issue: Restarting the app, restarting my phone didn't help

Just started happening today at lunch, when you add an existing food entry or a new food entry it shows the added food item for lunch, it shows the total for breakfast & lunch, but when you go back to the dashboard it only shows the breakfast calorie count. When you click the Food it only shows the breakfast item. App is up to date, the android phone is up to date
