I was trying to log my food today and it will not show any food when I put an item in. It will also not show anything in the database when I scan and I know those items are in there. Please help. I have a sense 2 and an apple

Yea, I spoke too soon. The app accepted some food items, not others, erased some and is just plain erratic. Fitbit is obviously working on it, but no joy.

I recently downloaded Health Connect and put Fitbit together w other apps, could this be the problem?
It didn't affect other aspects but I did see it's presence on my dashboard.
Any updates yet?

It happens in either location. It seems it will only store so many entries and starts deleting. The calories are also inaccurate sometimes showing zero and other times three times the actual calories. Yesterday as I added dinner it deleted breakfast. I was only using recent or frequent entries. I am using IOS.

This techinical issue just began for me as well, as of yesterday 12/4. Yes, I am using the + button to record food.
I am able to successfully record one food log and the odd thing is, it shows above all your previous food records for previous dates and does not show the date.
When I enter + a second food item the first one disappears and only shows the second one is now showing.
I have tried to resolve this by following the typical steps: Ceared cache, forced stopped, reopened. Made sure the food record option on. Signed out of fitbit, Uninstaller and reinstalled and signed back in.
The problem still exists as of today 12/5/25.

This happens with the (+) plus sign in the dashboard.
This happens with breakfast, and lunch. I give up before dinner, or snacks.
I've only used the data base since this problem started.
I am using Android 16 on a Pixel 7 Pro phone. I have uninstalled the Fitbit app, rebooted the phone, and reinstalled the Fitbit app from the Google Play Store. Twice, yesterday and today, 2025 DEC 05, 0722 PST.
No joy!

I think it's time to switch apps and trackers. I need a new wrist band anyway. Does anyone have any recommendations? I want similar functionality to what Fitbit had when it used to work reliably. Food tracker and activity tracker. Don't need any more bells and whistles than that.

It is weird that the water tracking feature works fine.

Q: Log food feature is not working as expected, does this happen with the (+) plus sign in the dashboard or when you are in the food site in the app?
A: Using the + sign in the dashboard, it appears to save the food but after a short time it disappears.
Q:Does this happen with every meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, etc) or only for specific?
A: Every meal at this point. It worked fine on the morning of 12/4/25 to log breakfast but stopped working by the time I tried to log lunch around 11:00am EST on 12/4/25.
Q: Does this affect custom food or also the ones listed in the data base?
A: All types of food. I mostly just search the database and select items saved in my Frequent and Recent tabs. Same result regardless of where I select.
Q: Are you using an Android device or an iOS (iPhone /iPad?
A: Android here, Galaxy S21.

I’m having the same issue. I have Fitbit premium and it typically has worked well.
Yesterday I entered my food three times using the app on my phone. I have an Apple phone… and I hit the + and was able to enter the food and then when I go to the food log page it shows for about a second and then it disappears and it gives me a link I can go to to give me information about why to log my food

Hi there, I’m facing the same issue since yesterday on my fitbit app. Replying to your questions:
Log food feature is not working as expected, does this happen with the (+) plus sign in the dashboard or when you are in the food site in the app? Both.
Does this happen with every meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, etc) or only for specific?
Does this affect custom food or also the ones listed in the data base? It’s not meal specific. I was able to log breakfast and lunch yesterday, but I stopped being able to log anything since then. I tried breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and nothing worked.
Are you using an Android device or an iOS (iPhone /iPad? iOS (iPhone)
Hope this helps - please fix the issue asap! Thank you!

Exact same thing here, thisbproblem for me started yesterday. I have tried everything I know to do to resolve this. It appears to be a glitch or something wrong on fitbit/googles end. I hope we have an update soon!

iPhone 12. Using the + in the dashboard. All my entries yesterday no matter which meal disappears. Today adding from food site in app 2 out of 3 did not remain.
