Since I moved to the Google Fitbit app I have had all kinds of problems that I never encountered on the Fitbit app before.

Same - I've tried all the troubleshooting steps you have. My app let me record breakfast yesterday but no meals since. It's still tracking water and exercise without problems, though.

This is happening with all meals. I’ve been using the food list in the app and none of them will log. Just like with the other user, my breakfast logged just fine yesterday but then nothing after that would stay. I’m using an iPhone. I tried all the go to solutions like updating the app, uninstalling, reinstalling, turning the phone off and on and unloading the data.

Mine is the same. Started yesterday, will briefly record one thing then it disappears. Have restarted numerous times. Don't really want to re install. What is going on ? ...

All good disappears on my Fitbit 6. It was logging food until yesterday (Thursday 4th Dec) I add a good type from recent or try to add by name and bar code, it add it then disappears.
It's very frustrating.

Log food feature is not working as expected, does this happen with the (+) plus sign in the dashboard or when you are in the food site in the app? - BOTH
Does this happen with every meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, etc) or only for specific? -EVERY MEAL
Does this affect custom food or also the ones listed in the data base? - EVERYTHING
Are you using an Android device or an iOS (iPhone /iPad? - ANDROID

I have been having the same issue since yesterday. I cannot enter more than four items into the food log, if I do anything previous I entered disappears. It doesn’t matter how I try to enter it, it’s the same every time. Eventually it will all disappear from the log, but it initially will hold four entries. It wasn’t an issue prior to Thursday and my logs from those days have not changed. I am on IOS, iPhone 14.

Doesn’t matter what meal… If I put in an egg for breakfast and then I put yoghurt at lunch it replaces the egg only one item for the whole day. Also doesn’t matter if it’s a custom food or one from my list. Will only log one item, but then when I go back out and come back, there’s nothing there. It’s not actually accepting any of the log foods and keeping them logged.

iOS device, happens both with quick log next to weight button and food database. I ch ooo ode the food from recent and save to correct meal and it stays there for about 5 seconds then literally disappears. The homepage briefly shows calories for a couple seconds with quick add then goes to a weird empty looking that is different than how it normally looks before logging first meal of the day. With database food add also shows as food for 5 seconds then disappears.
