Versa display not working

Hi everyone, I bought my Versa 2 months ago. I went swimming last week then was at a wedding so didn't wear my Fitbit. I put it on charge when I returned home but the display is not working properly and I can't see anything? Anyone help?

The reset worked for me but I’ve heard others have had the same problems. Hopefully Fitbit can resolve for you

That's exactly the same when I charge it I get a flash of the display but for seconds only then nothing

Had the very same issue, yesterday display started showing green bars as if it was crashing. Went dead few min later and still not responsive today.

Shame Fitbit does not have flagship stores to have things like this addressed asap..  Am going to send it back. Such a dissapointment

The same thing happened here. I was on holiday and did not wear my versa a couple of days (sometimes a little more relaxing without wearing it 🙂 after a couple of days i put it back on and the screen was black. I thought the battery was dead. Whilst charging it got very hot and still a black screen. 

A reset does not work. 

Strange!! Have to send it back 😞

I sent an email to fitbit help, they came back with some instructions and asked me to send video if it did not work... Of course it did not 🙁 funny though before I sent the video they were responsive... Aftrr video radio silence! I am super disappointed with the whole process, overall solution to customer support and the device itslef really. Initially wanted to get a replacement but now know that both support and device are not worth it.. After all Iwatch may have been a better choice in the first place.

Dear Fitbit... Please get some groove on ur customer support its really not a great solution to even lack an international Livechat...

My display is doing the same thing.  I have tried to restart my Versa but this is not working.

Hi there

I have been In touch with Fitbit and they asked me to do a factory reset

1) On the watch, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
2) When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
3) When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
4) Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
5) When the watch successfully resets, use the normal out of the box process of updating the firmware.

It didn't work for me but fingers crossed it helps u

I have my fitbit for a month now, and only this morning the screen isn't working, but the phone/laptop app show that it's fully charged and all the other stuff.

Already tried the restart of holding 10 seconds with no luck.

Help please!

My Versa went blank the first day I used it.  I was able to reset it and it works fine for now.  Should I be concerned that I have a lemon and I can expect more problems?

My versa special edition also went black , no more screen , Cannon reset the versa, three buttons 12 sec, after that 8 seconde left button with upper right. Nothing is happening, versa still syncs with iphone.

@pfr8es65 - not necessarily. If it reset fine, then maybe no worries? It's hard to tell exactly how many have the black screen problem, as have no idea how many units overall in the wild and no way to know how many issues reported. But there have been quite a few threads here, on Twitter, etc...

 

@SunsetRunner - that was my experience as well. Still would sync, but black screen. Had to send back for replacement. If you can still return to retailer, that would be your best option, as return to FitBit support will take you ~one month for return based on my experience, and the experiences of others noted on this forum.

any idee how to return it to Fitbit,  can I use mail? or only fedex, we don't have fedex drop of points in the Netherlands

You should initiate a chat with Fitbit. If under warranty, you will get a postage paid return label. I just did this this morning. My Fitbit battery was draining extra fast and screen is out for a few days now. The light is green on the back though so it has a charge

 Reset wouldn't work so they are replacing. I bought it in May.

 

I sure hope they fix whatever bug/feature this is.

@SunsetRunner The return process is probably different for different territories/countries. Hopefully your return doesn't have to travel overseas. In the US, they provided both a US Postal Service and FedEx label, but the FedEx was something called "smartpost" which is super slow. I dropped mine at a FedEx facility on a Thursday and by end of day Monday, it had only traveled 51 miles/82 kilometers. I could have walked it there faster 😉

My screen is not working, no cracks or damage and is only a month old. I try restarting and the starting Fitbit logo only partially renders and a different part of the screen works each time.
