It would be nice to have the capability of tracking two different weight loss goals at one time. One a long-term goal for ideal weight (down 40 pounds in four months) and one a short-term goal to easily stay motivated by chunking the larger goal into smaller, less intimidating goals (down 5 pounds in two weeks). Just a thought. Thanks!

Add and update to calculate BMI, Fat percentage and Muscle percentage.
Other cheaper competitors have this such as Tom tom Fitness tracker in their base model.

I'd love the option to have multiple weight goals at once; I have another 51 kilos to go to reach my target weight, but I've been splitting this into smaller milestones to keep me motivated as having the whole amount on the app seems unreachable. I'd like to be able to see "XXkg until your next milestone, XXkg until your goal", especially on the graph on the tile. If not customisable, then at least a countdown to the next badge.

I can't always weigh myself at a consistent time, so it would be helpful if there was a notes section when entering my weight so I can say what time of day, what I'd eaten right before the weigh-in etc.

It would be useful to have the option of adding body measurements to profile and BMI / FFMI to dashboard to keep a more complete picture of health / fitness status and/or goals for all products, not just the scale

On dashboard; weight tile- Allow user to specify weight range for “maintain” goal. (Customizable min/max for maintaining weight) Right now, range is set at +/- 15 pounds...a 30 pound swing! I’d also like for the tile to shade green only when within range.

I would like to see Fitbit have multiple weight goals/body fat goals. Although it is nice to have one ultimate goal it would be ideal to be able to celebrate smaller victories along the journey. For instance when people go from the 200s lbs down to the 100s lbs they could have a goal of 199. Also date goals would be an improvement. For instance losing 5 lbs by April 1 and seeing your progress towards that goal.

Your recent change to the fitbit.com web tracking page has reduced the data presented to the user. While this may be desirable to some users, it is considered a loss of important information for many others (as is evident in your dashboard forum. I only now realized that you have a suggestion forum so I'm here to ask... plead, that you either restore the old graphing capability (multiple data points per day), or at the very least, give users the option to choose. You have implemented a change that removes valuable data for those of use who monitor their weight multiple times per day to stay on track. Your current choice of removing data, actually creates a stumbling block to that process. Please return your product to be a benefit, instead of a hindrance as it is now. (I realize we can still see the individual data points below in list form, it's not the same. A graphed representation is a better motivator) I'm not asking that you change it back... I'm certain you have your reasons for the change and some users may prefer it. I'm saying, it's always a bad idea to REMOVE data. Give users both options please.

Fitbit charge 2 dashboard currently shows a chart for weight progress against a line that represents the target weight & the success date that was initially set by fitbit based on your chosen difficulty intentions. It would be good if a projected line from start to target was provided in this chart so you could see if you were on track or at least a forecast target date based on your actual progress.

On the FitBit app, the weight chart shows "ALL" and includes all weight logs going back as long as you manually enter. However, on the Fitbit portal on line, "ALL" actually only shows 10 years of data. This should be corrected. It is an easy fix.

A number of people have suggested the option of adding a photo to a weight log entry. I myself was a little surprised that Fitbit apparently doesn't currently offer this feature. I've been logging weight and body fat for while, and I've been taking status photos. Since my camera app records the photo's date and time, I have the ability to manually compile data for comparison. However, it would be cool to see this in the app itself.
And once this is in place [suggestive optimism], a related feature would be the ability to specify dates for comparison, and have a side-by-side display of the corresponding stats and photos. How cool would that be?

It would be great if there was a new feature where Fitbit would give you a small food plan of what to try keep eating and what not to eat to help people who are on a diet and would like some help, not just with exercise, but with eating as well. It would take some of your average exercise data, weight, age, etc. and create a personalised plan for a diet to help you become even healthier, ecspecially with food working out which foods we should be eating to maintain our shape or get into better shape. It could also factor in eating habits and health issues such as over-eating, lack of eating, anxiety over eating, etc. to design a diet more relatable to you with goals that are more in your range and more likely to be achieved. I have a Fitbit Charge 2 and love it. I can record my weight goal and track my weight loss, plus see how far I am from my goal. Unfortunately though, unlike other weight loss apps, Fitbit does not tell me when I should expect to reach my goal. I used a calculator and figured it out as I don't-want-to/have-time-to record data on multiple platforms. I realize the date may change .. if I were to speed up my weight loss the date would move closer, and if I should slow it down it would take that bit longer. Fitbit would be the perfect vehicle to measure these moving goal posts!
I'm hoping others will agree that a cute built in Fitbit graph would be a great addition to an already spectacular product.
I can only imagine how motivating it would be to monitor this on a daily basis as I celebrate taking charge of my health.

Hi,
Weight goal is visible on fitbit dashboard by defau. If we click quick view on weight goal, 3 more trends - weight, lean vs. fat and BMI can be seen.
If we set weight reduction is the goal, then it's really very important to see these 3 graphs/trends on the dashboard- which is not possible currently.
(FYI- currently i am using withing scale- body composition wifi scale- and fitbit gets data from Health Mate app)
It would be highly appreciating if Fitbit introduces this option in the coming release.
Moreover i should say that this is available (and nicely displayed) on competitor's app (i.e. Withings health mate app ).
Snapshot from health mate web dashboard:
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Ashish

It'd be great if a body fat percentage goal could be added instead of just weight as muscle weighs more than fat weight alone really is irrelevant if you're working out.

Hi!
For a very long time, I couldn't understand why I wasn't losing weight even though I was eating at the calorie level dictated by my Fitbit - when I say "long time," I mean over a few years (I've been a Fitbit user since May of 2012). Finally, last year I had my resting metabolic rate tested by my doctor, and found it to be about 25% lower than what it appears Fitbit was using as a baseline for my daily calorie burns. This made the total daily burns given to me by Fitbit almost useless.
Through a lot of research and trial and error I was able to work something out where I adjusted my age and height as well as switched from a Charge HR to an Alta and I think I've finally gotten my daily burns where they should be. However: (1) my distance walked each day is incorrect due to not being able to appropriately adjust my stride, (2) my expensive Charge HR is now useless to me (as the change in my age has lowered the HR range for exercise zones for me and significantly over-inflates calories burned), (3) the body fat percentage feature on my expensive Aria scale is now useless to me (it won't even calculate anymore, I assume due to the age I entered since that's when it stopped), and, possibly most importantly, (4) not everyone who runs into this issue is going to have the time and knowledge to figure something like this out.
It's an accepted fact that BMR calculations based on general statistics can be off by a wide margin - they are based on estimates and averages only, and while they're "good enough" for most people they're still going to be grossly incorrect for a lot of Fitbit users. Being able to take those estimates and averages and replace them with a personalized number based on actual medical testing would be a huge step in making the Fitbit experience infinitely more accurate and useful for those users who need that capability and are armed with the knowledge to address it appropriately.
PLEASE incorporate this feature!!

Please support multiple weight goals. For instance:
goal 1: 190 lbs (good job, keep going)
goal 2: 180 lbs (great job)
final goal: 170 lbs (you made it!)

Right now I believe Fitbit uses your height, age, and weight to calculate your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) which is the calories you burn if you did absolutely nothing all day just by living and breathing and then adds calories burned due to steps/activity/heart rate to that.
Problem is calculating BMR with just height/weight/age BMR is a very poor way of calculating it. Of course for people who don't have body fat measurements, it's easy. But many of us including myself either manually enter in our calculated Body Fat, or they use the Fitbit Aria Scale which automatically calculates body fat and syncs to the dashboard.
I would like to see Body Fat implemented in the calorie burn estimations because I really feel this will help accurately measure my calorie burn (if for example I weight 250 lbs and have 15% body fat I will be burning way more calories per day by just living than someone weighing 250 lbs and having 30% body fat).
This can be simply done using a commonly used BMR equation that incorporates body fat. Obviously if someone hasn't enetered in their Body Fat measurements than it would default to the age/height/weight but please gives those of us with more detailed body info more accurate calorie burn! Hello, My husband and I both have fitbits. We would like to share our weight and weight goals with each other, but not with our other friends. Please consider adding the option for users to select who they want to share weight and weight goals information with. Thanks!

I've reached my goal weight. I'd now like to set a maintainance goal that's a range of a couple pounds, rather than a new goal. I'd like to see continued congratulations for staying at my maintainance weight, not a notice that I need to gain or lose half a pound. Would that be possible?

I'd like to see the weight goal presented as a goal weight range. My goal weight range is between 180 and 185 (I'm a six foot tall guy). I don't want to set my goal weight at 185 because I think it will be too easy to forget that my range starts at 180. So, I set it at 180, but through normal fluctuations for water and other factors, I almost never weigh 180 - though I'm within my acceptable (goal) weight range. I'd like to see the goal weight presented as a range that can be set by the user (within some reasonable limitation). Then users could be congratulated on maintaining their weight range, versus this "you've attained your goal weight X number of times!" Small fluctuations in weight are normal and shouldn't been presented in a negative light. If that's already been suggested, I apologize for taking up the forum space.

We desperately need a body fat chart. I'm not interested in monitoring lean body mass, or fat mass. It makes much more sense to track percentage body fat.
Right now, I have to go to the Weight tab, hit "Load 10 more" many times, copy-paste all the text under Measurement History into a Word document, use find-replace to reformat the text, copy-paste into Excel, and manually build a chart. Why can't I just see this chart on my Fitbit Log? Moderator edit: labels.

The weight goal tile when I joined up was an awesome little graph of my weight over time. Then sometime later I wondered what would happen if I set a weight goal, so assuming that I'd be able to remove it afterwards I set a pretend weight goal.
Now I can't remove it, only change it. I don't want to change it, I don't want any weight goal at all. I've removed the tile from my dashboard but I don't want to do that, I just want the weight graph back.
It can't just be me. There must be other people who want to have a weight goal for a while and then change their minds and decide they don't care any more or something. I contacted support to delete my weight goal for me and even they couldn't do it!
Support told me to post it here, so here I am. Can anyone else imagine wanting this feature? Moderator edit: labels.

Being able to track your weight each day is nice. However, there can be huge (3-7lbs) fluctuations based on water weight, diet, and other changes that don't give an accurate picture of where your body is.
It would be really useful to have the option of a "weighted" average of your weight factoring in 3-, 5-, or 10-days into the calculation. A 10-day average weight gives you a much better picture of whether you're trending up or down in terms of weight gain/loss than just seeing how much you weight at the time you weigh-in, over 10 days your water weight fluctuations will be smoothed out. This would also look really smooth as a trend-line graph (more useful than the one currently incorporated into the dashboard).
