I think a badge should be awarded for continuously achieving your daily step goal. For example: Reach your daily step goal every day for an entire week, and receive a badge for your efforts. Increments could be week, month (30 days), and so on. I think this would be a great motivator for those of us who relax on the weekends and can never seem to reach our step goals on Saturday and/or Sunday. This would encourage steppers to keep their step streaks going! Therefore using their fitbit every day and getting as many steps as possible!

Hi there,
Is there any instructions to integrate Fitbit authentication using G+ and Facebook to our own mobile app?
Thanks.

Please support multiple weight goals. For instance:
goal 1: 190 lbs (good job, keep going)
goal 2: 180 lbs (great job)
final goal: 170 lbs (you made it!)

When logging exercise, I wish there were more options under calisthenics like sit-ups, push-ups, etc. Those are some of the most common exercises! 🙂

As 1 and 2 minute recover HR are a major indicator of heart health and mortality. It would be great to see this reading available on the dashboard. The data is there, either take the reading 1 or 2 minutes after a workout is indicated as ended, or allow the user to picka spot on the graph and show the HR readings 1 minuter later. The MS band has a very good implementation of this.

I have added this new idea for a Millions Incremental Step Badge because in the 1 Million step badge idea and that has only collected 45 votes in a year but there is reference by @varuscelli in the comments for an Incremental Million Lifetime Step badge.
We need Lifetime Step Increments for example 1, 3, 6, 10, 15, 20 etc but even with these, I'm approaching 15 million steps since joining in September 2011, so the Fitbit Exercise Psychologists need to profile more accurately with smaller increments to give the Fitbitters the added incentive, this applies to the distance badges as well.
I have created this because my next Lifetime Distance Badge won't be until 2019 and that concerns me, because when I was averaging my 10.5k steps/day it put me at 88% of the Fitbit population at least 3/4's of the Fitbitters will take many years to achieve some of the Lifetime badges, so again the increments should be smaller.

1. You can add custom food entries which you can delete via the web interface - please allow deletion of these foods on the apps as well.
2. When you add foods to your recent/frequent list you cannot delete them anymore and so the list just grows and grows. Please let us delete these entries in the apps.

The heart rate details screen should allow you to drill into more specific details by hour or even 5-10 minute blocks. You can drill into GPS details. Details should actually be available for all.

In order to effectively use the sleep log to improve sleep quality, I think it might be helpful to be able to annotate each log entry with comments about things that might affect sleep quality (eg alcohol consumption, use of sleeping tablet, late caffeine intake, late exercise, meditation/ relaxation, consumption of unusual foods etc). Then, on review of several weeks/ months of sleep logs, patterns may become evident.

How about creating a tile on the dashboard reflecting an individual exercise type. So a 'Cycling' tile would show cumulative miles in the day, week (or rolling week) for cycling. The target would be user defined so ideal for those wanting to target, say 100 miles in a week.

I would love to be able to have the option of tracking the number of fruit and/or vegetable servings each day on my iOS app, in a way similar to the water intake. I log my meals on MFP, but I am more likely to work on increasing my intake to the recommended 5-9 servings a day if I have a simple place to review that metric as opposed to reviewing my full food log.

Hello,
I have a Fitbit watch. For those who, like me, have a little more trouble to motivate themselves to go train, the Fitbit watches, are a revelation.
Problem: But what a pity that your watches also come in large packs. It is estimated that each year 8.8 million tons of plastic ends up in the oceans, the one that is in your packages may well be included. A beautiful product, but a product who do not participate in the well-being of our planet due to its packaging.
Solution: If you had a much smaller box, say green, with a huge display that your package is smaller to avoid excess packaging (that is not environmentally friendly)? And the support of watch in the box, it could definitively be made of cardboard (paperboard).
Benefits for you: This would bring savings of packing, obviously, and knowing that most people who want a watch to do more sport are often people who are aware of climate changes and other problems to the planet, you will get more sales because your product will be sold as being more environmentally friendly than others.
I sincerely hope that you will consider my message, because I believe in your company and you have everything to win to offer a product that is more green than your competitors.

I've seen one or two of these in different topics, but I wanted to make a universal post to consolidate them, and add a few.
I would love to have reminders for:
Drinking water
Moving
Appointments
Weighing (if you weighed yourself on your Aria, or manually entered your weight at 10pm yesterday, the app could remind you to weigh yourself at 10pm tonight)
Sleeping (if you have an alarm set for 8am, the app reminds you to go to bed at 12am to get 8 hours of sleep)
Eating (you set the number of meals you eat per day, and times, and the app reminds you to enter what you ate at those times)
Excercising (you set when you want to exercise each day, and the app reminds you)
These would change the app from a passive data collector to a powerful motivational coach. Moderator edit: Added Labels / Subject for clarity.

Right now I believe Fitbit uses your height, age, and weight to calculate your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) which is the calories you burn if you did absolutely nothing all day just by living and breathing and then adds calories burned due to steps/activity/heart rate to that.
Problem is calculating BMR with just height/weight/age BMR is a very poor way of calculating it. Of course for people who don't have body fat measurements, it's easy. But many of us including myself either manually enter in our calculated Body Fat, or they use the Fitbit Aria Scale which automatically calculates body fat and syncs to the dashboard.
I would like to see Body Fat implemented in the calorie burn estimations because I really feel this will help accurately measure my calorie burn (if for example I weight 250 lbs and have 15% body fat I will be burning way more calories per day by just living than someone weighing 250 lbs and having 30% body fat).
This can be simply done using a commonly used BMR equation that incorporates body fat. Obviously if someone hasn't enetered in their Body Fat measurements than it would default to the age/height/weight but please gives those of us with more detailed body info more accurate calorie burn! I've been a fitbit user for a little over a year now, receiving one as a gift last Christmas. Now seeing how my flex is so behind the times, I would like to upgrade to one of the HR ones. However, spending another 130-150 is very difficult. Wanting Fitbit to offer an upgrade or trade in program to allow for this to be more affordable.

I try my best to be in the green before I go to bed every day
Green meaning
10000 Steps
5 Miles
2900 Calories burned (this may vary per person)
10 floors
67.6 oz water
(I don't track food intake)
I wish fitbit would assign a badge for meeting all these requirements every day and when I get my weekly report, I'll know how many times I got the badge during the past week, thus knowing how many times I met my goals.

I'm not sure what has changed, but it seems that I am no longer able to Edit Activities. This seems like a huge inconvenience. Sometimes having to enter actvities can be annoying, but it's helpful to have that feature. What is annoying is that if I make a mistake, I am unable to correct it without having to delete and restart. I bought this Fitbit to make tracking my exercise easier, not more difficult. I am trying to find reasons to continue using it, but making tracking harder is not helping. Please fix! Thanks so much!

From a different thread, but would love to have a "silent alarm" tile for the dashboard. I really like the alarm feature of my fitbit flex, but setting/editing/deleting alarms is a bit cumbersome. Yes, it's only a few clicks, but would be nice to see current alarms from the dashboard. Thanks!

I'd like to see the weight goal presented as a goal weight range. My goal weight range is between 180 and 185 (I'm a six foot tall guy). I don't want to set my goal weight at 185 because I think it will be too easy to forget that my range starts at 180. So, I set it at 180, but through normal fluctuations for water and other factors, I almost never weigh 180 - though I'm within my acceptable (goal) weight range. I'd like to see the goal weight presented as a range that can be set by the user (within some reasonable limitation). Then users could be congratulated on maintaining their weight range, versus this "you've attained your goal weight X number of times!" Small fluctuations in weight are normal and shouldn't been presented in a negative light. If that's already been suggested, I apologize for taking up the forum space.

We should be able to change our goals without changing all of our past goals. For example, on holiday break I was happy to lower my goal to 5,000 steps. Or converter, some days I want to do more and want to up my goal to 15,000 or even 20,000...but then It changes all the past days.

Being able to track your weight each day is nice. However, there can be huge (3-7lbs) fluctuations based on water weight, diet, and other changes that don't give an accurate picture of where your body is.
It would be really useful to have the option of a "weighted" average of your weight factoring in 3-, 5-, or 10-days into the calculation. A 10-day average weight gives you a much better picture of whether you're trending up or down in terms of weight gain/loss than just seeing how much you weight at the time you weigh-in, over 10 days your water weight fluctuations will be smoothed out. This would also look really smooth as a trend-line graph (more useful than the one currently incorporated into the dashboard).

Need more creative badges and trophies rather than just the lifetime records... that could be more motivating. Here are a few ideas: - Badge for reaching 10000 steps for 7 days in a row, 15 days in a row, 50 days in a row... - Badges based on active minutes/calories/kilometers - How about some more crazy/funny badges like "night owl" for someone who regularly achieves a lot of steps at night, "out of bed" (same principle but for early morning), etc. - Badges that reflect poor activity; for instance a badge if you don't reach 10000 steps/day once in 7 days, ... I think that these are all ideas that could really enrich the experience of fitbit users by increasing motivation and I believe they are all relatively simple to implement in the Fitbit system!!
